ABOUT SURVEYS

The survey among Charles University students in their final year of study is conducted annually between late November and early December. Originally, data collection took place in the spring, but the schedule was adjusted to improve response rates. The survey questions focus on overall study satisfaction, as well as evaluations of study organization, teaching methods, study facilities, faculty support, and opportunities for international mobility.

Students are selected based on their initial enrollment date in their study program. As a result, some individuals who are not actually graduating in the given academic year may still be included. However, they are theoretically expected to be in their final year according to the standard study duration (e.g. study interruptions are not taken into account). This approach also makes it possible to ask students about their experiences with extending their studies.

Survey results are provided to the university administration and faculties (the Rector's Board, the Extended Rector's Board) and shared through the university-wide survey working group, which consists of over 60 members from across the university. Responsible staff members receive raw data, basic evaluations, and access to a Power BI dashboard with extensive filtering options for a more detailed analysis. A public version of the results is available here (only in czech).

The survey targets all final-year students, except for those who have recently participated in another survey (e.g., due to concurrent studies or early graduation). This approach helps reduce unnecessary survey fatigue.

The dataset includes 3,121 responses from students in their final year of study.
