SURVEYS AT CHARLES UNIVERSITY

The website is dedicated to university-wide surveys at Charles University, which have been conducted regularly since 2019. It provides basic information about the surveys, their purpose, and an overview of the key results. University-wide surveys at Charles University are fully implemented in undergraduate (i.e., bachelor's and master's) study programs. Starting in 2025, similar surveys are also being developed for doctoral study programs.

Surveys among applicants (pilot-tested)

Surveys among final-year students (i.e. student surveys)

Surveys among graduates one year and five years after graduation

Surveys among individuals who left their studies early (without graduation)

Before 2019, various types of surveys were conducted at Charles University, partially addressing the need for feedback from students and graduates. However, these surveys were often carried out by external entities, limiting their relevance for the university. This created the need for a structured survey system that would provide Charles University with relevant and comparable information across the entire institution. The first university-wide survey among graduates took place in 2019, targeting individuals one year and five years after graduation. These surveys were based on the national graduate surveys following the REFLEX project methodology. The questionnaire was significantly modified to meet the specific needs of Charles University. Since 2021, regular surveys have been conducted among individuals who left their studies in the previous academic year. This initiative was introduced to better understand the reasons behind study dropouts and to explore whether the institution could have provided better support to help students complete their studies. Since 2023, a regular survey has been conducted among final-year students, following up on one-time initiatives carried out in 2018 and 2022. The primary purpose of this survey is to collect feedback from students just before graduation - individuals with recent firsthand experience in higher education who can provide immediate and relevant feedback on key topics. In 2025, pilot testing of a survey among applicants began.
